[Press Release] Field Solution Partners with Global Engineering Simulation Leader Ansys to Develop 3rd Generation Smart Farm Technology

Field Solution Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Dae-cheon), a specialist in Industrial IoT (IIoT) and AI solutions, announced on the 15th that it is embarking on the development of 3rd generation smart farm technology through a collaboration program with Ansys, a global leader in engineering simulation.
This partnership is part of the “Global Corporate Collaboration Program,” a public-private initiative where the government and global enterprises cooperate to support the technological development and global market expansion of promising domestic startups.
Through this program, Field Solution plans to adopt Ansys’s advanced 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation technology to resolve key challenges in building the “Complex Energy Management System,” a core component of the 3rd generation smart farm model. While existing 1st and 2nd generation technologies focused on remote monitoring and control, the 3rd generation technology centers on maximizing energy efficiency and dramatically increasing crop productivity.
Specifically, the company aims to overcome the major barriers to smart farm adoption: the lack of initial data for AI learning and excessive energy costs. By utilizing Ansys simulation technology, Field Solution will simulate various variables—such as airflow, heat transfer, and CO2 concentration—in a virtual cultivation environment. This approach allows for the prediction of optimal growth conditions, thereby enhancing the accuracy of AI models and minimizing energy consumption.
Furthermore, Field Solution intends to leverage its years of accumulated industrial IoT and data analytics expertise to target the high-profit medicinal crop market. To this end, the company is collaborating with the Resource Plant Research Institute of the Jeonbuk State Agricultural Research & Extension Services to secure actual cultivation sites, simultaneously driving the verification and commercialization of the developed solutions.
Kim Dae-cheon, CEO of Field Solution, stated:

Through our cooperation with Ansys, we will develop an innovative 3rd generation smart farm solution that drastically reduces energy costs while maximizing productivity, thereby contributing to the advancement of domestic smart agriculture.”
Meanwhile, Field Solution plans to launch the applications and mobile apps for the “3D CFD-based AI Smart Facility Cultivation System” developed through this program within the year. The company also aims to complete related patent applications and research papers. Building on this secured technology and business track record, Field Solution will strengthen its existing maintenance business and proceed with expansion projects targeting the Muju Cheonma (Gastrodia) Business Group.
